With an extensive experience on all aspects of Rotorcraft experimental testing for development and certification gained through more than 3000 flight test hours, both on civil and military programs, he is also holding the Head of Flight Operations position.
Michele Riccobono’s deep knowledge of airframe and avionics system design, development, integration and test will significantly contribute to the achievement of certification of the SH09 helicopter.
Graduated with honors in Electronics Engineering at the Milan Politecnico University on April 1993, he joins Agusta (now Leonardo Helicopters Division) in September as an Avionics System Engineer growing into the role up to getting the whole responsibility for design, development and certification of EH101 and AW129 helicopter models.
In 2005 he leaves the Avionics Design department to join the Flight Test Organization where he soon becomes Chief Flight Test Engineer for all Agusta Heavy Helicopters, remaining in this role until December 2009. In January 2010 he is appointed Head of Flight Test Operation
Italy and from there soon he is assigned with the role of Head of Flight Test Operation Italy and Uk.
He has been holding a Lead Flight Test Engineer qualification since 2006.
He is a certified Ultralight Flight Instructor and he has cooperated with the Politecnico of Milan supporting, as a Test Pilot, the exercise of the Flight Testing course, part of the Aeronautical Engineering Master Degree Program.
