Team Leader Experimental Maintenance

  • Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs.   • Your responsibilities

    • Ensure the daily availability of the prototypes in accordance with the scheduled flight test activity program.
    • Ensure that the experimental aircraft fleet is maintained according to the relevant maintenance programs and/or temporary instructions (i.e. EI).
    • Liaise with the Flight Test Engineer group for the effective execution of company flight test programs.
    • Ensure maintenance safety standard definition and application among the ground crews.
    • Responsible of releasing the prototype ready for flights as quality inspector.
    • People leadership and development (ensure timely availability of qualified resources to support daily aircraft activities)
    • Ensure that aircraft maintenance technicians are allocated to support an aircraft flight test campaign and/or individual maintenance tasks according to their background/technical capabilities and as required to contribute to the achievement of the company objectives.
    • Ensure the Maintainer Initial training (when appropriate) and recurrent Training requirements are fulfilled.
    • Ensure continued availability of required Maintenance technical capabilities through the development of both new and existing skills.
    • Ensure that the Prototype maintenance procedures comply with the relevant certification/qualification requirements and are consistently applied across all programs.
    • Ensure that procedures and policies are established and implemented
    • Ensure that documentation, tooling, and premises are available and suitable
    • Collaborate with EASA/FOCA to achieve the required approvals
  • Your qualifications

    • Hold a technical degree or education on HF level or equivalent
    • Completed vocational training in a technical profession
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in the civil aviation industry (in Maintenance / Avionics technology)
    • Intercultural competence (effectively works with diverse others suppliers/customers)
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-national team and in particular in a blue collar environment
    • proven leadership skills such as participative, open management style, act as a role model i.a.
    • Proven skills in technical competencies in maintenance of helicopters and ground testing
    • Knowledge about helicopter systems
    • Knowledge about FOCA and EASA regulations
    • Knowledge about SAP MM & PP, PLM Teamcenter or equivalent, configuration management
    • Knowledge about the quality notification process and DO-PO Agreement
    • Advanced English language skills, minimum level C1
    • Flexibility to be deployed with short term notice, and willingness to live abroad for short to long periods (< 6 months to > 1 year)
