Experimental Configuration and Manufacturing Engineer

  • Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 300 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.
  • Your responsibilities

    • Ensure tracking of the prototype configuration to ensure compliance with the requirements established by the CPE or identify deviations
    • Prepare the work orders and assist the maintenance team in the definition of the tasks to perform at aircraft level based on applicable technical documents
    • Create work orders and relative BOM to procure parts for prototyping
    • Maintain the configuration of the prototypes based on released design data
    • Maintain record of flight and RTT hours in SAP based on ATL book
    • Maintain record of serialized parts installed on prototypes
    • Work to support maintenance team on their daily tasks with applicable technical documentations
    • Ensure that maintenance team has the proper tools available to install new parts
    • Coordinate with Material management office the requirements of parts defined by applicable design data
    • Coordinate with CPE office to report defect and failures
    • Create documentation (QN) to report defects
    • Ensure that procedures and policies are established and implemented
    • Collaborate with ILS and suppliers to produce required maintenance documentation
  • Your qualifications

    • Hold a degree in an engineering discipline
    • Min. 5 years working experience in aerospace or equivalent industry in engineering environments
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-national team and in particular in a white and blue collar environment
    • Intercultural competence (effectively works with diverse others suppliers/customers)
    • Familiar with EASA requirements and standards (i.e. PART-21J/G, PART-M, CS27, AC27 etc.
    • Fluent in English language (both verbal and written)
    • Knowledge about PLM Teamcenter or equivalent
    • Knowledge in working with SAP MM & PP
    • Knowledge about configuration management
    • Knowledge about the quality notification process and DO-PO agreement
    • Willingness and flexibility to be deployed with short term notice, and willingness to live abroad for short to long periods (<6 months to > 1 year)
