Configuration Engineer

  • Your responsibilities

    • Creating, improving
      and maintaining
      the product structure breakdown according to business standard and considering inputs from the production and design organisation
    • Building up the top level Engineering BOM including restrictions, options and variants
    • Producing relevant configuration reports to the Authorities
    • Conducting the change review board and the change implementation board
    • On occasion acting as change owner and managing the analysis and implementation of a change
    • Acting as the centre of knowledge regarding change process, impact analysis and level of change to a part
    • Contributing to the update of the Digital Mock-up. Applicable for changes to (TC) Approved data and to changes of released data to full-scale test articles
    • Producing relevant change reports for the Authorities and program management
    • Collaborating with the program management office to create unique customer configuration based on existing TC approved configuration and new development
    • Supporting the production organisation in their work
    • Conducting internal training in all these areas
    • Working to the continuous improvements of tools, methods and guidelines
  • Your qualifications

    • Hold a bachelor degree in Engineering
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
    • Very good knowledge of EASA Part 21 J & G configuration requirements, S1000D, approval process in the aviation and related fields
    • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, SAP PLM is a must
    • Experience with Siemens Nx is an advantage
    • Good English language skills, both verbal and in writing, a working knowledge of German language will be an advantage
