  • Your responsibilities

    • Providing guidance and support to a team of engineering professionals
    • Responsible for the definition of product level requirements within the design organisation
    • Developing and performing overall technical planning and providing airworthiness verification support, i.e. management of design and/or technical airworthiness reviews
    • Advising on how to resolve technical problems that would affect cost, schedule and aircraft system performance
    • Working closely with leadership functions in engineering (Head of Departments) and other subject matter experts for the review and approval of engineering design solutions
    • Organising, leading and reporting to the Head of Departments about technical design reviews
    • Providing technical leadership across the multi-disciplinary team
    • Supporting the development of technical and product roadmaps
    • Supporting the Airworthiness review board
    • Providing mentorship for technical staff
    • Facilitating the continuous improvement of a rapid-turn design-to-specification process
    • Supporting the development of design standards and procedures
    • Supporting Design to cost initiatives
  • Your qualifications

    • Finished education in Engineering
    • Chief Engineering Experience in rotorcraft development and Mechanical Design
    • Knowledge in electronic Hardware & Software Development
    • Knowledge of EASA Part-21J, CS 27/29 or CS25
    • Requirements management
    • Solid knowledge in testing of aircraft and components as well as qualifications and certifications
    • Aircraft in-service experience
    • Excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing, German is a plus
