Aircraft Configuration and Options Manager

  • Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.
  • Your responsibilities

    • Verifying and ensuring feasibility of features and configurations, together with engineering, operations and sales
    • Preparing for regular presentation to the executive management the Product Configuration update and development schedule of optional equipments and associated KPIs
    • Defining the top-level configuration of the product including all possible variants and options in accordance with the Company PLM
    • Ensuring the availability of new features and options is properly allocated in the Product Road Map considering the required flight testing campaign and installation on prototypes, in agreement with the relevant stakeholders (DO, PO, PROC)
    • Consolidating the introduction of optional equipments in the delivery plan in accordance with contractual requirements, in close coordination with the Contract Manager and the relevant stakeholder for the development
    • Leading the Change Management Board at Program Level, having the responsibility to coordinate the implementation of product level configuration changes and options.
    • Regularly reviewing and crosschecking if the contractual terms and the technical requirements are understood and realized
    • Participating in the Quality Management System QMS processes according to the process flow
  • Your qualifications

    • Hold a degree in Engineering or MBA
    • Excellent knowledge in Program Management methods & tools
    • Economic & financial knowledge
    • Relevant work experience in Aviation / Aerospace industry (minimum 3 years). A previous experience in Project Management roles within the Helicoper or Fixed Wing Industry would be an advantage.
    • Strong communication and coordination skills
    • Knowledge of EASA Part 21J & Part 21 G
    • Very good English language skills, both verbal and in writing. Any additional language would be an advantage
